This Privacy Policy describes how GALA, LLC (“GALA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information when you visit our website, apply for membership, use the members portal, communicate with our concierge, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the “Services”).

GALA operates a private membership platform based in New York City, United States. Applicants and members may be located worldwide.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the Services.

By using the Services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we process in connection with the Services. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or social platforms that may link to or from our Services.

We collect information directly from you, automatically when you use the Services, and from service providers who help us operate the platform.

3.1 Membership application information

When you apply for membership, we collect information you submit through the application, which may include:

  • Date of birth (to confirm age eligibility)
  • City and state of residence; if you are outside the United States, country of origin
  • Whether you were introduced by a member or reference, and any name or reference you provide
  • Optional social and professional links (such as Instagram, LinkedIn, website, portfolio, or other links), or an indication that you prefer not to provide them
  • A short personal introduction and how you expect to use GALA (personal, professional, or both), including optional professional context
  • Collection preferences you share (for example, pieces, sizes, and notes about what you hope to experience)
  • Your acknowledgment of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and the time of that acknowledgment
  • Any other information you voluntarily submit in the application or in follow-up communications with us

3.2 Identity verification information

If your application advances, we may use an identity-verification provider (such as Persona) to confirm your identity. Through that process, we may collect or receive government-issued identification images and extracted data, selfie or biometric comparison data used for liveness and identity matching, and verification results or fraud indicators.

3.3 Account and membership information

If you are approved, we may collect and maintain account credentials, membership status, reservation and experience history, Experience Credit balances, communication preferences, and concierge correspondence.

3.4 Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates (“Stripe”). We may receive from Stripe transaction confirmations, limited card details (such as last four digits and card brand), billing address, and payment status. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.

3.5 Experience and logistics information

When you reserve or experience a piece, we may collect delivery or pickup preferences, scheduling information, confirmations of receipt and return, and condition documentation related to pieces (including photographs).

3.6 Device and usage information

When you access the Services, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address, browser type, device information, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, and interaction data within the site or portal
  • Referring URL and approximate location derived from IP address
  • Log files, error reports, and performance diagnostics
